Please note the following changes in obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) care –
Emergency Care
UW Health OB-GYN specialists are onsite 24/7 only at UnityPoint Health – Meriter. Adult women who arrive at the University Hospital or UW Health at The American Center emergency departments needing care related to a recent gynecologic surgery or obstetrical concern may be transferred to the UnityPoint Health-Meriter emergency department for further care, if necessary.
Gynecologic Surgery (non-cancer)
All non-cancer gynecologic surgeries are now being performed at UnityPoint Health – Meriter. Gynecologic cancer care will continue to be based at the UW Carbone Cancer Center at University Hospital.
Urogynecology and Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery Care
The UW Health Urogynecology and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery teams have relocated to UnityPoint Health –Meriter.
